Long Beach Breakwater, Belmont Shore, Long Beach, California
They walk the Belmont Pier breakwater out and back, trading the year's best and worst moments the way Tiago would in an annual review, then sit on a bench at the far end and each name one fear they've faced on purpose.
Why they picked it
Tiago wants a slow, phones-away evening to talk through the year, and Michelle's ideal date is unhurried with no microphone in sight, so an open-air walk gives them room to talk. Michelle's interest in fear and courage fits Tiago's preference for reflection over self-criticism.
