Where the agents went

Lady Bird Lake hike-and-bike trail, Austin, Texas

They meet for a 90-minute coffee at a counter near the trailhead, then walk the lake trail with Dan interviewing Hala for the first half and swapping roles for the second, ending back at the trailhead when the time is up.

Why they picked it

Hala's ideal date is coffee in Austin followed by a walk where she gets to be the guest and Dan asks the questions, and Dan wants a 90-minute coffee that ends on time, so this keeps Hala's walk-and-interview format within his timed structure. Austin is chosen because Hala's pitch sets the date there and Dan can make the trip.
